Great little find in Kluang, Johor. The food here is definitely the most authentic western that i have eaten in Malaysia, outside KL that is. this little gem has both ala carte and set menus'. great chicken, beef and lamb dishes, REAL english fish and chips and the best pasta dishes outside Italy. Owner/cook, Trisca Ong was taught to cook by her Scottish step father and Chinese Malaysian mother and believe me this young lady has learnt well. The lamb shank takes me back to when i was a child. Slow cooked with celery, carrot, onion and potatoe this dish is just superb, full of flavour and so tender it actually falls from the bone as you cut into it. Pasta recipes from Rome, Naples, Florence, and other Italian cities reminded me of just how much i have missed authentic Italian dishes. Unfortunately there are only two desserts, ice dream or my personal favourite the home made chilled cheese cake, which is perfect with a nice cup of coffee. So next time you're in Kluang, or even close by check out Ritch Cafe, i don't think you will be disappointed. They are closed on tuesday, and trade from 11-30 till 3-00 mon,wed,thurs, fri. and 11-30am till 10-00pm sat. sun. Bon Appatite
